PROJECT PLAN Clinic appointment app Hollybrook Medical Group · Project manager: Siobhan Kelly · Version 1.2 · 5 October 2026 |
16 weeks 2 November 2026 to 19 February 2027 | £145,000 Approved budget | 9 clinics Live at launch |
Background
Patients at our nine clinics book appointments by phone. Lines are busiest between 8:00 and 9:00, and 30% of callers give up before reaching reception. A booking app will free up reception staff and make it easier for patients to see a doctor.
Goals
- Let patients book, change and cancel appointments online, 24 hours a day
- Move 40% of bookings online within six months of launch
- Cut missed appointments by 25% with text and app reminders
Scope
In scope: iOS and Android app, web booking page, reminders by text and push notification, staff dashboard, link to the EMIS patient system.
Out of scope: video consultations, repeat prescriptions and payments (planned for phase 2).
